Abstract

Crime is part of human problems in social life that has not been completed and tends to increase from year to year.  This is triggered by several factors, one of which is economic factors with the number of victims of Termination of Employment (PHK) due to policies and the implementation of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) which can have an impact on decreasing income for both business actors and workers as well as government policies related to the release of prisoners in  During the COVID-19 pandemic, one of the triggers for the rise of crime is the crime of theft. The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze the factors that led to criminal acts during the COVID-19 Pandemic which were reviewed from the perspective of Criminology and to determine the efforts and analyze the efforts of the Indonesian National Police in tackling crime during the COVID-19 Pandemic which were reviewed from the perspective of Criminology. The research method used in this research is normative juridical law research, using secondary data consisting of primary legal materials, secondary legal materials and tertiary legal materials.  The technique of collecting data in this research is using library research.  The type of research approach in this study uses a Conceptual Approach.  The data analysis technique used in this research is analytical descriptive. The results of this study indicate that crime during the COVID-19 Pandemic which is reviewed from the perspective of Criminology is influenced by several factors, namely sociological, economic, environmental factors, the scene of the perpetrator's case and the influence that can trigger someone to imitate crime in other areas.
