Abstract

his article discusses the concept of justice in Aristotle’s legal philosophy and its relevance to the legal system in Indonesia. Aristotle, as one of the greatest philosophers, proposed two types of justice: distributive justice, which deals with the fair distribution of resources, and corrective justice, which focuses on restoring balance in social relations. This study analyzes the application of Aristotle’s theory of justice in the context of Indonesian law, which faces challenges in achieving social justice. Using a qualitative approach, this article explores the alignment between Aristotle’s theory of justice and legal practice in Indonesia and provides recommendations for a more just reform of the national legal system. The results show that Aristotle’s theory of justice remains relevant despite differences in cultural and social contexts.
