Abstract
Legal philosophy has a strategic function in the formation of law. Conceptually, Islam considers law not only applicable in the world, but also in the afterlife, because the decision of truth, or the determination of sanctions, besides being directly related to humans, is also related to Allah SWT. Islamic law refers to the legal view that states that Islamic law has a purpose and objective. The purpose of Islamic law is to create peace in the world and happiness in the afterlife. Social changes in everyday life that are so rapid and complex are often used as one of the reasons for seeking a renewal of Islamic law. This renewal is actually not in the sense of the main material of Islamic law itself. understanding of the "text of the Qur'an and Hadith", legal experts are also allowed to explore and find laws that are rooted in society. This effort in Islamic legal literature is commonly called Ijtihad. In its process, ijtihad requires serious and in-depth reasoning regarding the purpose of establishing Allah's rules
